Important: Pattern content is processed solely to provide the Service to you. It is not used to train AI models and not shared with third parties except providers strictly needed to process your request.

- Anonymous purchase / subscription status from the App Store
We do not see your name, billing address, or payment card details — Apple handles all payment processing.

6. Storage and Retention
Pattern Content
- Patterns you import are stored on your device, and in your iCloud if you enable sync.
- Files sent to our AI processor are deleted from the processing pipeline shortly after parsing completes (typically within 30 days at most).
Usage & Analytics Data
- Individual usage data is retained for up to 24 months.
- Aggregated, non-identifying data may be kept indefinitely.
Transaction Data
- Stored for up to 7 years for accounting and tax compliance.
Support Communications
- Retained for up to 3 years.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Data Transfers and Third Parties
We may share limited data with trusted providers:
- AI text and image processing providers (for pattern parsing and the assistant)
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure
- Crash reporting and analytics services
- Apple (App Store payments and iCloud sync)

13. Pattern Content and Intellectual Property
- You retain full ownership of every pattern, photo, and note you upload.
- You grant Knotly a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.
- We do not use your patterns or photos for AI training, marketing, or dataset creation.
- Parsed results and progress data belong to you.
14. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have rights including:
- Right to know
- Right to delete
- Right to correct
- Right to opt out of data sale or sharing
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
We do not “sell” personal data under CCPA definitions.
